| Dr. Feng Xu is Director of Intellectual Property at AstraZeneca China, responsible for all aspects of IP matters in China and Asia area. For over 20 years, Dr. Xu has served innovator pharmaceutical companies, initially as researcher then as IP counsel, in the U.S. and China. He has counselled small start-up companies and large multinational corporations based in China, the U.S. and other countries. He has advised clients on creating, managing, defending, enforcing, licensing and monetizing IP portfolios. His legal practice has focused on pharmaceutical-related IP matters, including Hatch-Waxman (the U.S. patent linkage system) litigation, and on life science technologies--from small-molecule drugs to biologics, and from formulations to platform technologies. Dr. Xu is a U.S. qualified patent attorney (NY, CT & USPTO), with a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Florida State University and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. |
