Dr. Dolan is Senior Director, Patent Support for Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia regions at Merial, a leading global veterinary company with over 6,500 employees worldwide. He has a B.Sc. (Hons) from University College Dublin, Ireland, a Doctorate degree in Chemistry from Oxford University, U.K. and a Law degree from Temple University, U.S.A.. Before joining the patent department at Merial, Dr. Dolan worked in the patent department at Sanofi and DuPont Pharmaceuticals, as well as a major U.K. patent firm.

Dr. Dolan is also a U.S. Patent Attorney with over 19 years’ experience working in U.S., Asia and Europe in the pharmaceutical industry and has a proven track record of managing global pharmaceutical patent litigations for originator and generic businesses. His key strengths include: a deep understanding of Asia-Pacific patent law and practise; providing leadership and oversight to design and implement effective patent strategies; licensing; and due diligence.
